Nest 4 update

In dry – albeit very windy – conditions, chicks 1 and 2 have eaten twice since 08.00.

Chick 3 has not been fed. Its position is to the rear of chicks 1 and 2 but the only movement detected was when it stuck out a leg early today.

It is likely to have died this morning. The adults will probably remove chick 3’s body at some point.

The other two chicks look healthy, as do the pair on Nest 2. The latter are eating as this is drafted.

Nest 3 will be checked this afternoon.

So sorry the dry weather came too late. Good luck with checking nest 3 and fingers crossed for nest 1a. Sally

Such a shame, but sadly inevitable given the dreadful weather conditions. Thank goodness the the sun has appeared today and the other two are eating well. It bodes well.
