Chick 2 for Nest 3

Egg 2 on Nest 3 hatched sometime before 07.00 (earliest clip) yesterday morning, 2 June. Part of a shell was visible as the female sheltered egg/chicks from rain. The male arrived with a fish but the female stayed tight.

has the male seen chick 2 yet?

When the rain ceased for a time the female flew and all was revealed!

Chick 1 was asking for food so dad obliged. Closely monitored.

This afternoon there was no sign of a 3rd hatch, but time yet. Chicks 1 and 2 looked in fine form.

The 3rd egg on Nest 2 won’t hatch now, Jo, but we hope the 3rd egg on Nest 3 will. Or possibly has now.
