A hatch on Nest 3

Footage was downloaded at Nest 3 today and one of yesterday’s clips showed just what we’d hoped to find – a chick.

The chick hatched sometime between 08.00 and noon, so another ’37 days from laying’ hatch.

In a later recording period it was eating.

There were no fish on the nest, nor a delivery, during the visit to retrieve footage. The male looked after the chick and remaining eggs whilst the female had a short break.

where has she got to?
