Empty nest at Nest 3. But not at Nest 2

The scheduled recordings for the last few days at Nest 3 were downloaded this morning. On 1 September in the late afternoon juvenile VR was guarding a fish.

He flew off with it a few minutes later but returned to the nest to polish off the tail!

On 2 September none of the clips included a fish. VR was on the nest a couple of times including at the end of the final footage of the day.

The nest has been osprey-less during the couple of hours per day of recordings since then so it is probable that VR and his father left Kielder early on Saturday before rain arrived.

Over at Nest 2 Y6 is still present and enjoying plentiful supplies of fish from 37.

That was the 2nd fish delivery seen by the nestcam but perhaps Y6 had already eaten one before streaming starts at 08.00.

37 was back with another trout under 2 hours after the lunch time visit. Press HD for best quality.

Light rain fell on Nest 2 this afternoon. Y6 will still be around tomorrow morning with all this pampering and the weather.
