Nest 3 update

The last Nest 3 update was a couple of weeks ago. At that time the female hadn’t been seen since 12 August and she hasn’t been captured on footage since nor been seen during field observations.

The male has been bringing in good supplies of fish – if the number of times one of the short recordings shows a juvenile feeding is a guide.

VH had at least three feeding sessions on 23 August but hasn’t been on any clips since then. She probably migrated in the good weather conditions on 24 August.

VR has continued to be provisioned by the male. On Friday the male took away a partly eaten fish. VR arrived half an hour later demanding its return! Note his particularly dark amber eyes. Press HD for best quality.
