Second fledge on Nest 1A

At 11.29 today the second male on Nest 1A, Blue Y2,  fledged. There isn’t much wind today and neither he nor Y0 had exercised much by then but both have studied the ground!

Like Y1 yesterday Y2 took off from the top of the telegraph pole. His flight lasted just under a minute. His landing back on the nest was smooth. Here is the momentous event. Y2 is visible flying upper left at about 11.30.06 seconds, Press the HD button for best quality.

Y2 has had a longer second flight. Y0, two days older than Y2, is still thinking about it!

Y0 has hopped onto the top of the telegraph pole, it is clearly THE place from which to fledge! As you say, Cirrus, she needs to feel ‘ready’.
