Where’s the sun?

It has been pretty wet at Kielder recently. EB looked very wet on Nest 2 early today.

She fed her chicks a couple of times in interludes. Chick 3 is well into the second phase now, looking nearly as dark as the siblings.

It was no better weather on Nest 1A. YA had the early shift. He fed two chicks whilst Mrs YA sheltered the others.  Teamwork!

The rain lessened later in the day and the chicks on both nests all fed well.

Over in Cumbria a late data download from UV showed he didn’t care much for the conditions either and stayed south of Carlisle.

Wonderful that YA and Mrs YA have such teamwork–they need it with 4 chicks!

Great to hear of the teamwork by YA and Mrs YA, Joanna. They’re doing a great job in poor weather with four hungry mouths to feed. UV is really keeping us in suspense, can’t say I blame him for not moving on though. Maybe tomorrow?

YA and Mrs YA are doing so well. A joy to watch.

UV will do what he wants, but it will be a thrill if we see him at Kielder!
