Second hatch for Nest 2

Chick 2 on Nest 2 hatched overnight, most probably after dawn today as the shell was still in the cup when streaming began.

It fed shortly afterwards.

On returning from a comfort break EB found the chick had placed its head inside the egg shell.

It managed a couple of bites of trout again later in the morning. It is the chick at the rear.

It is quite breezy today and being from the north the wind has an ‘edge’ but EB is sheltering the chicks well between short feeds.
