Nests 1 and 2 update

Despite having a nest with chicks to support YA has still defended Nest 1 when he can.

The intruder in that video could be the Nest 3 male but we’ll never know.

Recently Nest 2 has been very peaceful although today 37 had to deal with an intruder when he was on an incubation shift.

He took off after the unseen bird and EB – who had been dining – came back to the nest to incubate. She had been eating for some time!

The eggs should start to hatch over the weekend – probably Sunday onwards. Both 37 and EB have brought plenty of nest material in and it can be hard to see the eggs. The image above is quite a good view! 37 is still incubating for over an hour at a time. When EB hears the chick ‘pipping’ inside the egg she is unlikely to allow 37 that privilege.
