Ospreys galore

There was frantic activity at Nest 2 yesterday afternoon. At least four ospreys landed on 37’s nest, two of which were ringed. In order of appearance!

At 14.37 (lots of 37’s here!) another female arrived after some aerial activity.

And  at 15.23 another unringed osprey landed.

The female seen last Thursday who looked like Mrs 37 and behaved as though the nest was hers hasn’t been on camera since that day. 37 has been ‘nestorising’ but was also absent for some time. He had an interesting time yesterday!

There’ll be more later. In the meantime we are thrilled that 2010 Kielder born Blue 35 has returned to her nest at Foulshaw Moss. And also that White YC, brother of Yellow 37 and White YA, has returned to Roudsea Woods in Cumbria.

Finally if you want to get close up to some Kielder Ospreys watch Further Tales from Northumberland tonight at 20.00 on ITV!

Wonderful news- let’s hope they ALL find nests and mates (and no hooliganism)
