Mrs 37 returns safely

37 was on his nest when the nestcam stream began. He did a bit of housekeeping and nest cup scraping then flew off at 09.39.

At 09.56 an unringed female arrived; despite moisture beads obscuring the view the markings were consistent with Mrs 37.

She left after 4 minutes but returned a little later for another short perch on the nest. As with the other three ospreys from Nests 1 and 2 this is Mrs 37’s earliest return.

At the time of writing the pair haven’t re-united yet, or at least not on the nest. 37 is looking around hopefully though!

Neither YA nor Mrs YA have been seen on Nest 1 today. At both sites there is less presence on the nest than normal. It is very chilly and fishing must be tough. The early returns may not lead to early eggs!

That’s good news, Joanna. You must be relieved she is back safe and sound. :)

Great news Joanna. All back early too, very interesting point about the weather and no early eggs. Thanks!
