And the rightful tenant returns!

YA and Blue HV spent some time on the nest together once Blue HV had eaten the trout. YA tried to copulate a few times but Blue HV kept her tail down. After one such attempt both looked at the skies and mantled.

Both birds left the nest, a minute later YA was back. And was followed by…

Mrs YA stood firm on ‘her’ nest, YA stayed in the corner for a couple of minutes then…

They have been on and off the nest since. Blue HV hasn’t arrived at Nest 2 but that can’t be ruled out!

As with the males, Mrs YA has returned from migration earlier than usual,  4 April 2013 was her previous ‘personal best’. We’re thrilled to see her!

Yes, Viv, it is excellent that YA and his mate – who is even more dark than your Glaslyn mother of YA/37 – are re-united.
