FLASH!! First hatch of the year, Nest 1

Mrs YA was incubating when the nestcam stream started on Wednesday. At 09.22 she shuffled the eggs for the first time – a chick was visible half way out of its shell!

At 09.38 Mrs YA stood up and the chick had wriggled clear of the shell.
