FANTASTIC NEWS!!! Mrs YA and 37 are back, normal service resumes

At some point between the nestcams going off yesterday and 09.25 today Mrs YA returned to Nest 1. She landed at that time with a clump of moss, so probably this was not her first landing. Here is a video of the magic moment.

And not to be outdone, at 09.57 37 landed on Nest 2 with a fish for the patiently waiting Mrs 37. Click to enlarge the image.

And like his brother, took it away again! These Welsh boys.

We are thrilled at Kielder but also we are thinking of our colleagues at Glaslyn waiting for 37 and YA’s father, usually so early to return from migration. He has such good genes, come on, 11(98).

It is quite interesting what goes on in the early days who will end up where with whom? They do tend to settle back on their old nest with their old mate when possible. Hopefully these two nests should settle down now.

This is wonderful news, Joanna.! I wish each pair a successful 2015 breeding season. I’m so relieved to hear that they’ve arrived ‘home’ safely. They look in really good condition too. :)

What an understatement !! can’t think of the correct word but somehow ‘fantastic’ just doesn’t say it :) outstanding wonderful – both home safe and sound. Here’s too a very successful season .

Absolutely wonderful news Joanna and all at Kielder :)
