“Best possible news” Mark II. 7H has phoned home!

Today for the first time since 22 January we have received data from 7H’s tracker. It is incomplete, but at 12.30 GMT she was sitting on a pylon near Azemmour! Plus ça change.

There is some missing data between 22 January and now but hopefully there will be some backfilling.

There will be another blog later looking at where 7H was when Pip and Vic were searching for her. Meanwhile, here is where 7H was over the last few days.

7H from 8-13 March, early afternoon

7H from 8-13 March, early afternoon

Without Pip and Vic’s efforts this day may well not have come, so more thanks to them.

  1. Great news, but where is she? Country?

Same place, near Azemmour, ViV, hence the comment in French! The area she has frequented over the last few days is where she was when we last received data. Bar a trip further upstream than usual. I’ll amend the post to make it clearer.

Great news, Joanna. Back on track again! :)

Good one, Viv! It is wonderful to have this insight again. And now we have Pip and Vic’s report from the scene to add depth to the data.
