Fabulous Friday continues!

After the initial excitement of seeing the eggs on Nest 2, a quiet period followed with Mrs 37 incubating and seldom shuffling the eggs other than with a small wiggle. Just after 16.00 she started looking up and shouting. She wasn’t mantling at all and it seemed likely she had spotted 37 and a fish! For the next 50 minutes she shouted at him and got up several times to re-arrange the eggs.

Eventually 37 complied with her request for food; the changeover was so fast it was hard to catch.

Then we had our first view of 37 from the new nestcam.

Here he is, settling down on the eggs.

And to round off a lovely day as this was in draft Glaslyn‘s third chick was hatching, a young brother or sister to YA and 37. Many congratulations to BGGW on their full house!

Thank you for a lovely report, Joanna. Super pictures of Yellow 37 and Mrs.
Only a lucky few can follow the progress of their returning chicks and see them raising their own family. This is wonderful.
