Another Scottish lassie on Nest 1!

In the last blog there was a brief mention of an intruder on Nest 1 yesterday.

She is a blue ringed bird, either HV or HY, probably the former. She was born at Aberfoyle in 2010. Aberfoyle have told us she was photographed in Senegal in January 2013 but this is the first reported UK sighting.

It is great to see another young osprey back in the UK. She looked fit and certainly wasn’t ready to move on when YA appeared with a fish! She ran across the nest after the fish, and stayed inspecting the nest decoration before daring to move a couple of twigs. YA made intermittent attempts to send her her on her way but she was on the nest over 40 minutes in total before coverage ended.

We haven’t seen her today. Here are some stills and thanks to Aberfoyle for their info.
