Egg-zactly what we needed!

When Amy at Kielder Castle Cafe started the nestcam streaming on Thursday, she was greeted with the sight of YA shuffling bits of moss next to the nest cup. And in that cup was the first egg of the season!

As this is written – 10.30 - YA is incubating, and has been for some time, whilst Mrs YA is on the camera pole.

Here are the first glimpses. YA has since nudged the egg so it can’t be seen because of the moss clump!

    Congratulations

Great News – Nest 2 should not be too far behind. Who dug out the hole for the egg they must have thought they were planting bulbs.

Nothing on Nest 2 yet, Keith. The cup is quite deep for Nest 1!
